This is a general privacy notice for Movie Cast, a browser-based movie draft simulation game operated through moviecast.app.

Information we collect

Movie Cast does not currently ask you to create an account, provide your name, or submit personal information. Your game session and generated share card are created in your browser. If you choose to share or download a result, that action is handled by your browser and device.

Our hosting provider may process technical information needed to deliver and protect the website, such as IP address, request time, browser information and security logs.

Analytics and tags

Google Tag Manager manages the Google Analytics 4 measurement tags used on Movie Cast. These non-essential tags are blocked until you make an appropriate choice in the CookieYes consent banner. If you reject optional analytics, the analytics cookies and related measurement tags remain disabled for your visit.

Analytics may record general usage events such as starting a studio, releasing a film, completing a run, or downloading a share card. We do not send your full cast, personal messages, or other unnecessary personal information to analytics services.

Cookies and similar technologies

Some technologies are strictly necessary to operate, secure and remember basic site choices. CookieYes records and applies your consent choices. Optional analytics technologies are described in the CookieYes preference centre, where you can accept, reject or change your choices. No advertising tags are currently active.

You can also control cookies through your browser settings, although blocking necessary storage may affect some site functions.

Data retention and transfers

We keep information only for as long as needed for the purposes described above. Hosting and analytics providers may process data in countries outside the UK or European Economic Area using the safeguards they describe in their own terms.

You can refuse optional cookies in CookieYes and change your choice later through the consent settings link on the site. Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection or portability of personal information.
